Scotland was the venue. The very upmarket Hotel Du Vin in Glasgow to be precise. Fitting it was to have such an upmarket venue for the launch of this very upmarket hearing aid. When the original Linx from ReSound was launched two years ago in London, it brought a whole new technology that married smart phones with hearing aids. We were so impressed with this wireless connecting system that the quality and clarity been offered by the brilliance of the hearing aid was almost lost. ReSound Linx certainly proved itself to be a very high quality hearing aid and now the ReSound Linx2 that quality has been improved with this new "spatial sense" which basically makes hearing aids listening more like natural hearing. I'm very fortunate to have the agency for these fabulous hearing instruments!!

Over recent weeks we have been busy carrying out hearing tests for factories and large employers in the North West region.

There is an approved Code of Practice (ACOP) of which the principal objective is to reduce the incidence and severity of hearing loss resulting from excessive noise in workplaces.

Regular hearing screening is were North West Hearing Clinic and Sligo Hearing Aid Centre are involved. We can either visit the premises and test the employees hearing on site or they can visit either shop for assessment.

We can even supply customised, filtered, noise plugs for employees who are concerned about damage that maybe caused going forward. These plugs only filter the unwanted damaging sounds so the staff can still communicate easily with their colleagues on the floor!
